How to Compress PDFs on Mobile

There is nothing to install: PDF Compressor runs in your mobile browser, and compression happens on your phone just like on desktop.

Open the site in your browser

Visit the site in Safari, Chrome, or any modern mobile browser. The layout adapts to small screens, and the primary actions go full-width for easy reach.

Add a PDF from your device

Tap the upload area to open your file picker — your documents, downloads, or cloud files, depending on your phone. The same 50 MB per-file limit applies, so very large scans may need a desktop browser with more memory.

Compress and download

Pick a mode (Balanced is a safe default), run compression, and download the result to your device. On phones, prefer one file at a time for the smoothest experience, and keep the tab in the foreground while processing runs.

  • Use Wi-Fi if the file is large — although nothing is uploaded, downloads still use data.
  • Check the downloaded file in your PDF viewer before sharing it.
  • If processing fails on a very large file, try a smaller file or switch to a desktop browser.
